Different kelp species have unique effects upon plant health and crop potential depending upon their nutrient & hormonal profile. Tri-Kelp™ offers a unique formulation of the three most popular growth promoting seaweed species including Laminaria, Sargassum and Ascophyllum nodosum.
While kelp is well known for its natural minerals, ultra-trace minerals and plant compounds that give it its unique health-promoting effect on other crops, NTS Tri-Kelp™ is made of three of the most powerful species which have unique growth and health promoting characteristics.
Laminaria may assist plants in the recovery from previous viruses. Sargassum is rich in alginic acid to boost water retention. Ascophyllum nodosum contains very high levels of cytokinins and features the highest mineral content of any kelp. Together, these three species create a powerful combination that helps to improve overall soil conditions and enhance water retention. In addition, Tri-Kelp™ can improve both growth and flowering and is a powerful anti-stress tool.
Tri-Kelp™ contains three of the most powerful kelp species, delivered in an easy-to-use, 100% soluble powder format. The three species are Laminaria, Sargassum and Ascrophyllum nodosum.
Tri-Kelp™ can be used generously without risk of burning; however, due to the color of kelp, it may cause staining of delicate or light-colored fruits. Make sure to dilute the material appropriately for the desired application and timing. Tri-Kelp can be used as a root dip, a seedling/transplant drench, in fertigation or in foliar spray solutions.
Additional applications can be made immediately prior to or following stress periods such as frost or drought. It is preferable to increase the frequency of applications rather than the concentration of the solution. Where higher water rates are required for good foliar coverage, do not exceed maximum product rate per acre. Sensitive foliage or plants should be test sprayed prior to full scale application. Frequencies are a guideline only and can be adjusted according to farm practices and/or in conjunction with crop monitoring. Ensure suitable spray conditions (e.g. temperature, humidity, wind-speed) prior to foliar application. Compatibility and/or performance cannot be guaranteed when combined with other products. Jar test for compatibility and spray test on small area before wide-spread use.
Tri-Kelp is not compatible with acidic inputs. Avoid spraying close to harvest if produce is susceptible to staining.
The products we offer are designed to be used together as part of a full-year nutritional program. For more information on use, application rates and timing for specific crops contact Agriculture Solutions today.
