Growing healthy crops takes more than N-P-K. While those three are needed in the largest supply, there are many other nutrients that are critical to enable key plant processes like photosynthesis, reproduction and more. Since photosynthesis is responsible for about 90% of plant production, it is critical the provide adequate amounts of the top four minerals needed for this critical plant process: Phosphorus, Calcium, Magnesium and Boron.
With available phosphorus being supplied by Trio's "sister", Triple Ten, Trio is the perfect complement in foliar rotation. Together with adequate phosphorus and potassium supply, Trio can enable mineral uptake, enhance photosynthesis, improve cell strength, boost reproduction, and improve overall stress tolerance and crop performance.
Trio contains luxury levels of Calcium, Boron, and Magnesium. These elements represent three out of four of the plant health powerhouses that will ensure a balanced mineral supply and optimal photosynthesis in your crop. Trio also contains approximately 15% nitrogen as well as kelp and fulvic acid that offer enhancement to root stimulation, mineral chelation, reproduction, and more.
Calcium is the trucker af all minerals within the plant and it also governs cell strength and cell division. Without adequate available calcium, minerals will not translocate within the plant to enable life cycle transitions and production.
Magnesium is the life blood of chlorophyll and it is a phosphate synergist. This means that the effectiveness of the phosphorus that you apply is governed by the availability of magnesium.
Boron is critical for reproduction and it is a calcium synergist. Without boron, calcium uptake is inhibited and since calcium is responsible to move all other minerals within the plant, a deficiency of boron will affect the usability of all other minerals.
Trio should be used as a foliar in rotational combination with a high quality supply of phosphours and potassium. Trio is a concentrate that should be diluted at 1:100 with clean, fresh water. For vegetables, apply a rate of up to 2 L per acre, weekly. For orchards and vineyards, apply up to 3 L per acre every 2-4 weeks. For ornamentals and turf, apply up to 2 L per acre every 2-4 weeks. For broadacre crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans and canola, apply 1-2 L per acre, depending on canopy closure, twice per season, at critical growth stages.
The products we offer are designed to be used together as part of a full-year nutritional program. For more information on use, application rates and timing for specific crops contact Agriculture Solutions today.
