The Marketing and Administrative Assistant is a new position with tremendous opportunity for growth for the right candidate. We're looking for someone who is detail-focused, dedicated, reliable, and health-minded with experience and interest in farming and/or growing food. There is a lot of room for creativity, and personal/professional growth in this position and we're looking for long-term team member who wants a career, not just a stepping stone to his/her next opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have experience with social media marketing. Additionally, document composition and editing, basic understanding of how to use Adobe Creative Suite, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, ability to type at least 35 WPM, and experience with general office tasks such as filing and phones, are requirements for any successful candidate.
As Marketing and Administrative Assistant, you will assist the company Business Development Manager, President and Office Manager with various tasks in support of company initiatives and customer requirements including:
Compose content and edit company marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite;
Maintain currency of company mailing lists;
Prepare and send mass email campaigns;
Post regular, relevant and fresh information on company Facebook and Twitter pages to promote company events, services and products;
Initiate accounts for Instagram and integrate content with other social media feeds;
Assimilate pertinent industry information into compelling social media content;
Assist with update and maintenance of the company web site including the online store.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Complete miscellaneous administrative tasks such as filing and data entry;
Coordinate shipping logistics by obtaining competitive freight and carrier quotes and coordinating pickups and deliveries;
Facilitate import/export logistics for incoming product supply and outgoing customer orders;
Prepare orders for shipment;
Provide timely customer service through answering of LiveChat, e-mail and phone inquiries;
Write and/or proofread content and copy for customer correspondence;
Prepare materials for industry meetings, conferences and farm shows;
Assist with product registration, certification and trademarks.

Must be able to speak and write English, fluently.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work flexible hours Mon-Fri between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm Must have the ability to travel on company business occasionally.
